From the Food Network

I crave comfort foods in the autumn.  And, although this autumn has been warmer than normal (at least here in Texas, where it is supposed to be over 92 degrees today) – I still love the warmer flavors.

So, in the vein of sharing some of my favorite recipes (some just tried for the first time) – here are 5 recipes to add to your menu.

Ina Garten’s Roasted Sausages and Grapes

I saw this recipe two weeks ago and knew that I had to try it.  My husband and I loved it.  The juices from the grapes ‘cry’ for something to mop up the flavor – so, instead of regular focaccia, I made some Paleo focaccia.  We didn’t miss the regular bread at all. But, if you want to use regular bread – be my guest.

Curried Pumpkin Soup

This is an quick to prepare dish if you have all the ingredients ready to go.  Read through the recipe and buy roasted chicken and ensure that all the other ingredients are ready to go as well.  Yes, there are quite a few ingredients – but, they are mainly spices and canned items.  So, don’t let that scare you at all.

Pepperoni Pizza Chicken Bake

Sometimes, you want pizza.  And, while there is no crust – the flavors are definitely there.  I have served this with Paleo breads and zoodles.  Try it as it is easy and satisfying!

Golden Turmeric Roasted Vegetables

This is an elegant and eye pleasing side dish.  And, turmeric has numerous health qualities (such as being anti-inflammatory). This may be a new ‘favorite’ side dish for you and your family.

Pumpkin Spiced Baked Granola Bars

Now, time for something sweet.  And what better than granola bars (Paleo, of course).  These are great (and addictive) – but, sometimes you crave something sweetness.  Plus that, Julie Bauer is so darn cute…
